Audio Books: the semi-brainless kind, like the Janet Evanovich bounty hunter series, or any of Terry Pratchett’s delicious fantasy/scifi/satire, or a good Agatha Christie-style murder mystery. Or anything by P.G. Wodehouse. Good for the gym, house-cleaning, metro rides, and the occasional dull day at work.*
*This tends to work better if you wear your hair long for cover and can snake the iPod wires under your shirt for the “inconspicuous” look.
Herbal Teas: My mother raised me to be a first-class hypochondriac, and there’s STILL an herbal tea for every ailment! “Everyday Detox” is my current favorite.
Pugs. (Ahem.)
The things I link to, like Dinosaur Comics, obviously.
Libraries.
Midol. NOT Midol’s commercials. Why are the damn women are always at yoga? I yearn for the days when a girl could just go bleed peacefully on the moss for a few days.
Cruises. The kinds with good food, fancy clothes, sea breezes…
Monkeys.
Rock climbing, except I can’t afford it.
Dancing, except I’m bad at it.
Hula Hooping, at which I am amazing.
Chasing toads! A sport that is inspiring and affordable for all. But then they pee on you.
To be continued . . .
